What Will I Study?
You’ll need to do as much work experience as possible during your degree and, even then, it’s common for fashion graduates to have to complete several internships before they land their first permanent job. Or you could work in advertising, marketing, public relations or events management within the fashion industry. Your first year will give you a broad introduction to your subject and start developing key technical skills. Your second year will then expand on the knowledge and skills you’ve gained so far and it’s likely that you’ll be given more project work. Continuing Professional Development
This practical unit allows the students to engage in a live brief to prepare and present a marketing strategy for an individual practitioner (e.g. within the school or faculty) or an enterprise within the university or the community. Students have the opportunity to engage with employers through placements, study visits, industry-led live briefs and guest lectures. The course also offers the opportunity for students to promote their work through live events, showcases and simulated real-world scenarios such as mock interviews or pitches.
